결정된 개수의 섹션을
3개나 5개의 flat
steel bar에 용접하여
슬라이드 위쪽에
하나의 유닛으로
조합하고 스크래퍼와
실린더를 연결하는
레버 시스템을 이용하여
전체 스크래퍼가
천천히 약 700mm가량
이동한다. 이러한
이동으로 슬러지가
슬러지 피트 쪽으로
이송되고 스크래퍼가
다시 리턴 동작시
전진시의 속도 보다
약 3배의 속도로
후퇴한다. 이러한
리턴 동작은 스크래퍼의
단면 모양의 영향과
이동 속도로 인하여
슬러지 층의 하부를
침전 작용
을
방해하지 않고 파고들어
슬러지 층이 스크래퍼를
타고 넘어가게 된다.
이러한 반복 이송으로
슬러지를 슬러지
피트로 이송하게된다.

A
number of wedge-shaped
sections weld together
to the flat steel
bar to form a single
unit and the lever
system connected
to a cylinder
enable the
whole scraper to
move 700mm. When
the sections move
forward, the concave
face of the wedges
transport the
sludge to the sludge
pit. During
the return movement,
the points of the
wedges slide under
the blanket of
sludge, so
that it flow
over them,
moving approximately
three times as fast
as during their
forward movement.
The
repeated movement
transport the sludge
to the sludge pit.
